Java Developer -- Birmingham
Position Overview:
Our Client’s Business Process Management Group is implementing a new mainframe integration platform. The platform is written in Java and based on IBM’s Host On Demand technology. This platform will be used to develop a workflow-based interface for our mainframe applications and integrate mainframe applications with new and existing client-server and web-based applications. This position will be responsible for design and development of Java mainframe GUI applications.
Skills:
Position requires significant experience (2+ years) in client/server development with Java using the Eclipse platform. Position also utilizes Visual Basic .Net, JDBC, ODBC and/or other SQL application programming, and significant use of the Microsoft SQL Server platform. Knowledge of these technologies is also required. Understanding of and experience with programming process best practices, such as automated testing tools, documentation generation, and automated build tools is a plus.
