Learn more at www.multicarejobs.org Position Summary The Cardiovascular Information and Imaging System Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the CPACS and CVIS on a multi-site/multi-facility basis for MHS, to facilitate optimal system performance, and to ensure that medical image and information storage/retrieval is accurate, reliable and timely and conducted in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.  The incumbent manages various aspects of digital imaging, including image transfer from Digital Image Communication in Medicine (DICOM) imaging modalities, storage of clinical data in a secure network environment, distribution and display of cardiovascular clinical images, and the corresponding diagnostic information, and operative procedure data collection, storage, and retrieval. Work requires a broad understanding of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Cardiology, Imaging IT, inpatient cardiovascular clinical area processes/workflow, Preventive Cardiology, as well as expertise in the application of structured analysis, testing, implementation and documentation methodologies relative to automated systems.  The incumbent works closely with various departments to configure, deploy and support the CPACS and CVIS system and to maintain and support the CPACS, CVIS, Preventive Cardiology systems and relative interfaces on an ongoing basis. Minimum Requirements Five years computer software applications and database management, clinical setting preferred. Education/Licenses/Certifications Bachelor's degree in an information technology or healthcare-related discipline, and five years of related work experience, preferably in a hospital IT, radiology department, cardiac catheterization lab, or with an IT products vendor OR An equivalent combination of additional qualifying work experience (specifically PACS, CPACS, or CVIS system support/administration) and education may be substituted for up to two years of the education requirement.
