Business Intelligence Manager

Are you interested in being part of the team that drives customer support for some of Microsoft's coolest products?  Do you have a passion for providing business intelligence through effective reporting that improves the global customer support experience?  If so, the Xbox Customer Support team may have the perfect opportunity for you. Key Deliverables:In this role you will partner with Reporting, Service Delivery, Supportability and the Repair Center team to create custom reports and data analysis tools to provide an in depth understanding of the customer experience in order to help drive business strategy.  You will be responsible to define and make recommendations on Key Performance Indicators across multiple data sources and develop reporting to be pushed to IT for production. Further, you will conduct in depth analysis of reporting trends and partner with cross teams to make recommendations and drive improvement in our business. A successful candidate will have a proven ability to drive technical development from start to finish while consistently demonstrating solid judgment in implementation and innovative designs.  Specific deliverables include:·  Evaluate and document business requirements and functional specifications for technical design·  Review detailed designs developed by cross team and cross group members to make recommendations for improvement and optimization·  Identify and resolve issues that influence the progress of specific projects and ensure that all risks are resolved or triaged for resolution·  Evaluate, define and make improvement recommendations based on key performance metrics related to operational, repair center and order management performance·  Implement stored procedures and create business reports using SQL Reporting Services and other front end technologies·  Support the team in developing test plans and driving resolution of bugs and issues with new and existing reports·  Adhere to development standards and development methodology for the software development lifecycle We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, has high energy and has a proven track record to drive for results, work effectively with varying constituents and deal with ambiguity. **Please be sure to copy and paste your full resume when applying to this job to increase the likelihood of your resume being identified as meeting the qualifications outlined in the job description.  The use of Resume Builder is not recommended. Qualifications: A BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline  3+ years of database development experience, preferably utilizing SQL Server and including database administration, design, implementation and optimization, DTS/SSIS, analysis services and reporting  Data warehousing design, data modeling and maintenance  Expert SQL skills required  Demonstrated expertise in business analysis, decision-making and the ability to work with all levels of management  Extensive problem solving skills, self-confidence and strong leadership qualities  2+ years proven background in data analysis and drivers of business intelligence Preferred QualificationsProject management skillsCustomer Support experience Microsoft offers an excellent benefits package to full-time employees including medical, dental, vacation, employee stock purchase plan, and 401k, plus some great extras including: our 24-hour nurse line, stay fit program, product discounts, and paid infant care leave.
