VMWare Technical Specialist
Omni Resources, Incorporated in 1984 is dedicated to providing the highest quality information technology consulting services throughout the upper Midwest. We are currently seeking an experienced VMWare Technical Specialist to work with our client in Racine, WI.
Responsibilities:
* Identify, define and model technical infrastructure based on the application architecture for new functionality or new application development. This includes the integrated hardware, software, and communications components that provide the technical platform for the application solution and supporting data structures.
* Works with application engineer and Technical Services to provide a technology solution.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
* Proven ability and experience troubleshooting and resolving difficult technical issues (Office troubleshooting experience preferable, Office 2007 a huge plus)
* Windows XP / Windows Vista experience
* Technical documentation and effective communication skills
PREFERRED SKILLS:
* Deployment / Rollout experience
* Prioritization skills
* Experience with Office configuration tools (i.e. Office Customization Tool and/or Custom Instillation Wizard) a plus
* Windows Scripting (VB Script) a plus
* Familiar with managing Group Policy configuration a plus
* Experience with VMWare workstation
* Strong ability to multi-task
