Report Designer
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Evaluate business systems, tools and information needs for Dresser business community, as they relate to Oracle Applications.
2. Coordinate short-term information/report delivery and contribute to future phase information delivery strategy.
3. Develop information and reporting solutions and application extensions using Oracle development tools, including Oracle Reports, PL/SQL Plus, Discoverer, and/or approved 3rd party tools.
4. Create functional/technical specifications for proposed information/reporting solutions to be developed in-house or outsourced.
5. Coordinate testing and deployment of information solutions with Business Users, Information Technology and Service Providers.
6. Work closely with Business Process Owners with regards to requirements.
7. Provide application training to the Finance User Community.
8. Maintain specifications and documentation for development activities.
9. Assist end users with conducting conference room pilot and acceptance testing as needed with additional functionality/releases.
10. Assist in the creation of specifications for reporting, applications extensions, and integrated 3rd party software solutions to meet business requirements.
Educational Background Required:
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/MIS or equivalent experience.
Educational Background Desired:
•MBA.
Work Experience Required:
• Technical development experience in an ERP environment, preferably Oracle Applications.
• Extensive knowledge of Oracle Finance modules and integration with related Oracle applications.
• Excellent ability to approach a problem within Oracle applications and troubleshoot/debug processes or work with the vendor to do so.
• Excellent knowledge of finance and cost management business processes and application integration issues around these processes.
• Project management skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Project a plus.
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on development experience with Oracle information, query and reporting tools/techniques is preferred.
• Minimal travel required.
