IT Help Desk Analyst Intern

Thales Avionics, Inc., a leader in flight electronics, in flight entertainment systems and on board power generation has an opening in our Seattle office for an IT Intern - 20 hours per week.

 

Workstations Installation:

§  In charge of the installation and maintenance of the PC’s, Laptops, phone system including hardware, software and peripherals equipment. 

 

Assistance and support to end users:

§  Provides an on-going hardware and software troubleshooting service to end-users to handle daily problems.

§  Performs printer maintenance.

§  Advises and informally trains personnel on proper use of the corporate network, including desktop software, Internet browsing, e-mail usage.

§  Verifies that IS security policies are applied by end-users and reports failures to IS Security Manager.

§  Update the IS Help Request log with problems and actions.

 

Administrative:

§  Maintains inventory of the site’s computer equipments.

Identify potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed

Essential knowledge & skills:

 Education/Training/Work experience:

Associate's degree in computer science and/or computer repair certifications (or working towards) a plus.

1 years of experience in Information Systems a plus.

 Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

Good knowledge of personal computers with related operating systems and office software.

Good analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Team player important.

 

Systems currently in use:

Windows XP, Office ( XP, 2003), Visio, MS Project, McAfee antivirus.
