Field Storage Engineer-Seattle

The RSG Inc. Field Engineer is a regionally based technical resource who supports enterprise solutions at customer locations. This role is responsible for on-site installation, implementation, Storage Area Networks, Enterprise Server and Storage Solutions of top tier manufacturers (Dell, EMC, HP, IBM, etc.). Candidate will work in a highly decentralized and customer facing environment.Candidate must be able to work well with little direct supervision as this is a remote based position. Individuals should be self motivated and detail oriented candidates with process, documentation and completion of their work. The ideal candidate possesses the ability and commitment to deliver superior quality and excellent customer service, is a must. The candidate should have strong working knowledge and experience installing Microsoft Enterprise operating systems Windows 2000/Windows 2003. Knowledge and installation experience of Microsoft Small Business Server operating system is a plus.  Experienced in personal computer and server technology. Requires hands-on knowledge of installation service delivery, basic computer networking technologies knowledge, Microsoft server operating system environment, and cable management. Experience in customer facing relationships. IT Hardware Deployment experience preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate on technical and business level with internal and external customers. Organizational skills. Priority Settings skills.CompTIA A+, preferred Microsoft certification (MCA, MCP, or MCSE) a plus.Dell PowerEdge (or equivalent) and/or Dell certification a plus. Enterprise hardware certifications a plus. Knowledge of VM ware and EMC certifications is a plus. Candidate will perform a wide variety of technical and administrative duties in overall enterprise solution development and delivery. 60% travel within region or nationally maybe required.
