Position Summary:



Senior Systems Administrator with a strong background in Exchange 2007, Exchange 2003, Windows 2003 Systems Administration and Microsoft Active Directory.  Primary function is to administer and manage our Seattle client’s Messaging environment and assist with design and implementation of Exchange 2007.  Assist IT management as a strong technical resource for anything related to Exchange.

 

Responsibilities:Implementation and administration of messaging environment including server builds, upgrades, and monitoring. Server Backup and restoration experience in a SAN environment Diagnose and resolve unique and complex system problemsProvide technical solutions from business requirementsFollow system security policies and procedures.Install and configure monitoring and alerting tools as requiredIncreases and maintains proficiency as an 'Industry Expert' on Microsoft messaging technology, methodologies, and conceptsEstablish and follow policies and procedures for infrastructure implementationadministration and problem resolution.Responsible for systems management, performance monitoring and benchmarking, support and maintenance of server infrastructureCreate and update documentation of corporate systems hardware and software matrix.Experience defining and implementing best practices security and auditing server security complianceWill require some weekend work and call support on weekends and nights. Requirements:Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience. 5 + years experience administering Microsoft Exchange 2003/2007, Microsoft Active Directory and Windows servers in a large scale data center environment.



Demonstrated strong experience with the following technologies: MS Exchange 2003 and 2007Blackberry Messaging System – Blackberry Enterprise Server v 4.1 experienceSharePoint experienceExchange 2003/2007Mail Marshal 6.4.1 experienceLive Communication Server (LCS) and Office Communication Server (OCS)E-mail Antivirus: Antigen v 8.0 Windows Server 2003DNS, WINS, DHCP, AD, NT Host Security, Security Policies, Security Auditing Comprehensive, firsthand knowledge of messaging infrastructure including SMTP, MS Exchange 2003 & 2007 front end and mailbox servers, anti-virus and spam protection,  Active Sync and Blackberry MessagingExperience in the integration of high availability Exchange configuration that is clustered Experienced in hands-on implementation and configuration of Exchange server infrastructureAbility to work proficiently with minimal daily guidance and bring mature seasoned skills when working with production systems.Able to thrive in fast paced and high-pressure environmentExcellent written and oral communications skills. Can clearly communicates complex technical concepts verbally and in writing MCSE certification (MCSE 2003) preferred. Cisco CCNA, Citrix CCA, NetApps NACE certifications highly desirable.Understanding of LAN/WAN network design. Knowledge of Cisco routers & switches and networking technologies preferred ITIL / ITSM  experience highly desirable
