Data Warehouse/BI Project Manager

Stratagem, Inc is currently looking for a talented Data Warehouse/BI Project Manager.

The Data Warehouse Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of large scale, strategic and cross-company data warehouse/BI initiatives to our clients.

The ideal person for this role will be willing to travel for engagements around WI and possibly beyond.


Required Skills/Experience:
8-10 Years of project/program management experience with a focus on data warehouse/business intelligence solution implementations. Working knowledge of data warehouse methodologies and concepts such as Kimball, Inman, RUP, Spiral, etc. Ability to use MS Project to build project plans. Business and high level knowledge in aspects of leading Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence technologies including:
  ETL (i.e. Informatica, MS SSIS, Oracle Warehouse Builder)
  Database Modeling & Storage (i.e. SQL Server, Oracle 10g, IBM UDB) 
Reporting and analysis delivery tools/applications (i.e. Cognos, Business Objects, OBIEE, Hyperion)
  Data Modeling (ERwin)Ability to assist with development/elicitation of business requirements and translate them into functional specifications. Ability to facilitate data warehouse/business intelligence requirements and data modeling sessions. Expert Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience with managing vendor/partner relationships. Ability to train and mentor junior team members (other consultants or clients) in data warehouse concepts and techniques. Experience working with business managers and analysts to determine how business needs can be addressed through technical solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Solid time management skills.

Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day leadership for project team members. Utilize foral project management techniques/methodologies to lead project teams through the entire software development life cycle (SDLC). Work Collaboratively with clients to develop comprehensive project/program plans including: Scope, Schedule, Cost, Quality, Organization/Communication, Staffing and Risk Issue Management. In conjunction with DW team leads and business users, lead the development of the work breakdown structure and creation of a detail project/program schedule. Monitor actual project hours and costs against the estimates/budget and report signification variances. Develop corrective action plans. Communicate effectively with staff and management on status, issues, risks, project goals and objectives. Create and review project deliverables. Write and distribute fact based weekly project/program status and progress reports to management. Manage the client relationship, address client and user requirements, ensure projects satisfy specifications and deadlines. Other project management duties as needed.
