Job: Application Engineer - Networking Location: South/Central Wisconsin Job No.: RGB07292008B Industry: Wired/Wireless Network based technology Base Salary: $45,000 to $75,000   An industry leading, wireless technology corporation, located in Wisconsin, has immediate need for an Applications Engineer-Networking   This Application Engineer's education and background will include the following:BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science OR 4 or more years related experience in networking wireless technology. Must have prior Application engineering experience in networking wireless industry  Specific Experience should include most of the following:Extensive interface and communication with in-house staff: Marketing, sales, service, technical support, and design engineering Track record of strong Customer Support and problem resolution Networking with wireless PC's and the computer networks. Related experience in telecommunications, general programming skills and basics of network operations  Knowledge/Abilities to include:TCP/IP, Networking, 802.11x(Hardware and software formats), Linux, HTML, NTP, Dell Servers, Apache, Network Test Equipment (Airmagnet, Cognio), Wireless Lan Testers (Bumblebee), Virtual Software. Working knowledge of Cisco Access points, routers, layer 3 switches, RF Test equipment, network security protocols and NOC experience.  The person I am looking for will be capable of working autonomously, is well organized, have a strong work ethic, customer orientation, listen to what the customer needs and wants done, provide training parameters for client, both onsite and over the telephone.
