TeamSoft is seeking experienced Windows Desktop Support technicians with 2nd Level Support skills for a 1yr contract for our State of Wisconsin client in both Madison and Milwaukee locations.
These additional positions are needed within the infrastructure section due to the high volume of work that is to occur in a very concentrated time frame. Project plans call for over 575 PC*s to be procured, configured and deployed throughout the State.
Duties and skills:
- Knowledge and experience using Remote Access, Microsoft tools and Windows XP is a must
- Provides expert level technical assistance in support and preparation of PC supported applications and hardware.
- Requires extensive knowledge of and experience with PC technology including, but not limited to, operating systems, applications, PC*s, printer support, Black Berries, other supported wireless devices and peripherals.
- Receives escalated level support issues from the DOT Helpdesk.
- Has 4-7 years of experience in Desktop Support and is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
The ideal candidates will have experience providing 2nd level customer technical support for workstations and experience in performing LAN administration responsibilities. Scope of experience should be similar to State Agency IT environments, which is over 3,500 workstations. Existing knowledge of WI State IT environment is valuable.
The people in this position will be expected to travel approximately 25% of their time to deploy PC*s, move equipment, and provide onsite support to any one of State Agency locations located across the State, but the primary focus will be the Eastern 1/3 of the State. Primary work schedule will be Monday - Friday.
