Programmer/AnalystDescription: An exciting opportunity to work with the IT Performance Program team as the lead IT Programmer. This person will be responsible for all technical aspects of evaluating alternatives, designing and implementing a web-based knowledge management system to store a wide variety of data elements, both textual and binary. The core elements will be: data collection, storage, management, and reporting.This solution will be based on commercial off-the-shelf software, custom software development, or a combination of both. The key business process that it will support is an audit function that collects information from a variety of different companies regarding their IT capabilities. A key component of the overall solution will be integration with existing data stores of related information.A secondary role will be the evaluation, design, and implementation of a software error reporting framework. This capability will be included in various applications deployed to disparate global locations and must provide a simple mechanism for reporting software errors and providing appropriate log information and providing appropriate log information to aid in the analysis and resolution of software defects. Requirements: Designs application architecture, integrates applicationsoftware, database (SQL Server and/or Oracle) and delivery subsystems for specific applications. Identifies and resolves application architecture problems. Knowledge of and experience with knowledge management systems. Customer Relationship Management software experience desired. Require knowledge of datamarts and the integration of separate data stores. Ability to develop software in .net or java environments.Experience with Cognos a plus. In-depth experience with software error handling in a java environment.Experience with a commercial off-the-shelf software defect reporting product is a plus. Ability to work independently and devise solutions based on business requirements and business and high-level technical requirements.Bachelor's degree and typically 9 to 13 years' related work experience or a Master's degree with 7 to 11 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
