TITLE:  PACKAGING ENGINEER/PACKAGE STRUCTURAL DESIGNER

 

POSITION LOCATION:

 

Package Development Department for Electronics Products;

King County, WA

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

 

Candidates must have a BS/MS in Packaging and 5 - 10+ years of package development experience, with a major food or consumer products company.  Heavy emphasis will be placed on one’s leadership ability, to manage complex projects and deliver innovative packaging solutions within the appropriate timelines.  The candidate must have creative design background/passion around packaging materials, branding, structural design with an understanding of supply chain manufacturing capabilities to support creative ideas from marketing teams. Familiarity with rigid and/or flexible packaging, paperboard, corrugate, is a benefit for all positions.  Project Management experience and strong communication, leadership, and technical writing skills are required.  Positions will require approximately 30% travel (national, and international) in order to interact with suppliers, plants, and other R&D facilities.

 

POSITION:

 

We are seeking several senior packaging engineers to join our West Coast, US-Regional Packaging department, which supports the package development and engineering functions of several major food, pharmaceutical, and consumer products companies in CA, WA and the surrounding areas.

 

We have several open positions in the packaging department of one of the world’s largest supplier of electronics with passion for technology geared to help people and businesses reach their full potential.  You will manage multiple projects as the key part of a team that supports various electronics and home entertainment products.

 

Engineer’s main responsibility is to serve as part of a coordinated effort relating to the development of primary and secondary packaging systems, structural designs & specifications for a variety of brands and products.  This position will be the “packaging resource” on key projects related to Growth, Cost Savings, and Brand Maintenance. 

 

Through participation in cross functional teams, engineer will lead projects and provide packaging options and develop packaging, using leading edge technology, to support new global / regional innovation development initiatives.  This position may also support existing businesses through packaging revisions, cost improvement projects, and packaging simplification.  Some positions may entail supervisory responsibilities for junior engineers.
