Position Summary
The Community Site Developer position on the F5 DevCentral team is a highly dynamic role responsible for ongoing innovation, design, development, and maintenance of the DevCentral website and supporting applications. As a key member of the DevCentral team, this position will focus on helping F5 continue expand the technology platform and features F5 utilizes to engage, enable, support, and learn from a global community of technical members.

Primary Responsibilities Implement ongoing DevCentral feature enhancements Collaborate with DevCentral team to collect, design, and track new feature requests and enhancements to grow and support community Develop comprehensive community statistics monitoring and reporting for analytics Serve as liaison with F5 IT services to maintain ongoing performance, availability, and security objectives Utilize web development skills to contribute additional solutions utilizing F5 technology for F5 Labs and other initiatives Collaborate with other F5 web teams - including globally distributed teams - to support technology and business objectives Provide input on ongoing web platform, language and design specifications Provide 24/7 2nd Level technical support for DevCentral Document architecture and design of DevCentral and supporting applications for reference Engage other communities of interest - specifically Web Developer communities - to expand reach and relevance of DevCentral
Qualifications 3-5 years relevant experience designing, creating, and supporting ASP.NET based web applications in C# and VB. Familiarity with and passion for social networking technologies (forums, blogs, etc.) Desire to learn and work with advanced networking technologies Bachelors degree desirable Familiarity with effective web design concepts and practices and interaction design / usability Experience with an open-source technologies, portal applications, and CMS (Content Management System) Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as editing skills Experience building and consuming XML/SOAP based Web Services and Web service concepts Database design, monitoring, report building, and maintenance experience required Ability to rapidly prototype and develop across different operating systems and languages Experience with implementing and using web portals, content management systems, and a variety of Web 2.0 technologies is highly desirable for this position. Experience with designing and developing multi-lingual web applications is a bonus HTML/CSS, DHTML, JavaScript, XML/SOAP, MS-SQL, Revision Control Systems (SourceSafe/CVS/SVN) Photoshop Ability to work with Windows and Linux Operating Systems Experience with Subtext, FlexWiki, Flash Design, Project-management skills Experience with DotNetNuke (DNN) desirable Familiarity with F5's products a plus
