Commercial Software TesterDescription: Commercial Test Engineer needed for integration,application and system testing. Ensure the quality and reliability of back-end and front-end applications, for airborne and ground-based airline systems. Work closely with the development team to create and execute test plans and provide technical support to developers on effective testing techniques. Design and build both automated and manual test cases and related test scripts. Some programming in high-level languages is required. Prepare integration and system level test cases with documentation for simple to complex business functionality. Document problems and work with the development team to identify the cause of problems. Track issues to closure and effectively communicates issues to customers, developers and the Test Manager. Ensure that all change requests and problem reports are tested and approved before software release. Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met. Provides technical leadership for testing software projects and leads software supplier management activities. Leads development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metrics. Plans, executes and documents software testing projects. Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations. Requirements: Requires 5 or more years commercial software testexperience. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have strong interpersonal skills, and must take direction readily from Project leaders. Must be self-directed, self-motivated, well organized, and detail oriented. Experience required: testing in a Linux OS environment, creation and execution of test plans and documentation deliverables; ability to test in a disruptive environment on tight time lines; working with hardware/firmware; knowledge of ClearQuest, ClearCase and Test Director. Experience in avionics desired. EOE.
