Sales Representative, Sports and Recreation Market Manager

You will service and sell to existing customers and search for new customers and opportunities for our recreational products. The customer base is worldwide. Though this is an office based job, there may be instances where you are required to travel.

You will sell inflatable buoys, banners, windscreens, landing pad covers, and other items to clubs, schools, colleges, special event organizers and corporate sponsors. Sports served include sailing, triathlons, cheerleading, martial arts, and track and field.

Duties required include compiling lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories and other sources. Talk with customers by phone to solicit orders, display or demonstrate products, using samples and/or catalogs, and create solutions per customer as needed. Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained. Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules. Prepare reports of business transactions and keep expense accounts.

The development and management of customer segments is required. Existing customer segments will need to be expanded and new customer segments will need to be created. Customer segment management will include the creation and delivery of timely and effective sales tools, advertisements, and all marketing materials, A market manager is responsible for tactical and strategic planning to improve customer service and for sales growth.

QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in direct sales to customers. A creative mind is needed to help customers with unique or unusual needs. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required. An interest in sailing, triathlons, cheerleading, and the other sports we serve is necessary.
