The Robert Allen Group is seeking a well-rounded Senior Manager, Design for our Beacon Hill brand drapery and upholstery fabric as well as trim.  Beacon Hill consists of exclusive, finely crafted product that is sourced around the world and sold exclusively to the interior design trade.  

 

Manager, Beacon Hill Fabric Design

 Job Responsibilities

· Creates a balanced merchandise mix that is in line with collection strategies and brand identity through product, trend and sales analysis as well as through forecasting color

· Organizes merchandising strategy and keeps appropriate records and files for each project.

· Ensures that collections meet budget obligations.

· Sets timelines for projects and ensures deadlines are met.

· Sources new vendors and maintains existing vendor partnerships.  Selects vendors for assigned projects.

· Creates inspiring color materials and presentation boards to provide visual direction for vendors and internal use.

· Attends vendor presentations, design/color presentations, trade shows; meets with customers.

· Communicates color, price and pattern adjustments with vendors as needed.

· Oversees project turnovers and acts as project consultant to solve issues that may arise after project turnover.

· Collaborates with marketing to ensure messages are communicated and brand identity is maintained.

 

Qualifications include Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts with a minimum of five to seven years experience in high-end textile design in the home furnishings industry with emphasis on international sourcing.  Must possess strong interpersonal and project management skills including the ability to plan timelines and manage multiple projects.
