Senior Strategic Sourcing Implementation Manager - Calgary, Canada

 LOCATED IN CALGARY, CANADA --

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has a solid basis of Procurement/Sourcing knowledge and Project Management skills but would like to gain more experience and ultimately grow their career within Sourcing. The position will directly report to the Head of Global Sourcing and will be responsible for managing the building and implementation of a new strategic sourcing organization within a $8B Oil and Gas business unit with over $1B in annual spend. The organization will ultimately be responsible for collecting, aggregating, and analyzing relevant data components in Sourcing with the purpose of conducting business analyses and making recommendations as to value creation and process improvement opportunities. These activities include but are not limited to spend management, savings results tracking, vendor negotiations scenario, cost-benefit analyses, commodity analyses, supplier performance management, corporate reporting, and other departmental analyses. The ultimate goal is to help achieve year-on-year improvement in total cost, quality, and service.

 

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the ability to collaborate as an effective team member; has strong project and change management skills, superior analytical, financial modeling and problem solving skills; is experienced in negotiations and conflict management; possesses good communication skills and the ability to build relationships internally as well as externally.
