Senior Geologist
Kelly Scientific Resources is seeking candidate for a company located in Houston, Texas with a primary mission to acquire, exploit and develop high quality producing and non-producing shale-gas properties in selected basins in North America. ResponsibilitiesThis person in this position will:Develop play concepts, analyze and present new business opportunities in specific basins, and create presentations that summarize and highlight prospect potential. Be part of a geological and engineering team that identifies, analyzes and develops unconventional gas shale reservoir opportunities.Develop business relationships with JV partners.Actively participate in team meetings and prepare presentations for management and joint venture partner meetingsMinimum Experience: Bachelors in Geology or related geoscience10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry as a geologistExperience with unconventional gas shale geology, geochemistry, horizontal wells or tight gas sands is an asset.Experience with sequence stratagraphic concepts and knowledge of Gulf Coast formationsWorking knowledge of Geographix, PI/Dwights Plus, PowerTools, Access, Excel or other oil and gas software and databases a plus.Comprehensive benefits package includes a 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, life insurance, and more.
