FB iMonitoring Inc., located in Roanoke, VA, seeks to hire a Software Engineer.  Our main market is the oil & gas industry and the applications include wellhead monitoring, electronic gas flow measurement, tank level, compression, and chemical injection.

Job Requirements:

* BSEE/BSCpE or MSEE/MSCpE

* 5+ years experience in design and development of embedded software for industrial control applications

* 5+ years in the detailed software design of industrial battery powered devices

* Proven track record of commercializing embedded software systems

* Knowledge of C/C++ and assembly programming languages

* Effective team-player with a positive attitude and a willingness to grow & develop

Additional Skills Preferred:

* Experience/knowledge of electronics necessary for testing embedded products

* Experience with ARM, 8051, and MSP430 processors

* Experience with PC development for embedded testing

Duties & Responsibilities:Design, develop, enhance, and maintain embedded and PC-based software products, including project specifications, cost estimates, user and technical documentation, test plans, release notes, CD and Web distribution updates, and source code.Support and maintain assigned Company software products.Ensure development is kept on cost and on scheduleAdhere to software revision control processes, procedures, and documentation requirementsCoordinate with hardware engineers and support team the integration of software products. Develop and maintain the appropriate technical documents, including APIs and source code commentsPerform extensive testing of all software prior to product releaseEnsure software bug reports are created and addresses as appropriateEnsure code reviews are conducted at the appropriate times in the development cycle
