KIK HOUSTON - located in DOWNTOWN HOUSTON, TX procures, blends, fills and packages a wide variety of liquid household cleaning products.

We are searching for a high performance, talented, hands-on Quality / EHS Manager with demonstrated strengths in providing proactive leadership for both Product Quality and Safety related functions.

The SAFETY/PRODUCT QUALITY SUPERVISOR position is a unique dual leadership role within our facilities.  This key leader is responsible for managing the plant Quality Assurance team to support and verify compliance with internal and external customer requirements and managing all Safety programs, training and activities to ensure compliance and conformance to all safety, regulatory and GMP requirements. 

Critical functions within the scope of responsibility are:

SafetyPerforms facility safety training to ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and cGMP as requiredReviews Safety and Work practices at plant level and conducts Safety Incident Investigations, monthly routine inspections and follow-up on corrective actionsProvides information and training in emergency response procedures, hazardous material handling and industrial hygiene policiesAligns procedures with cGMPs, Develops SOP’s and Change Control proceduresDevelops product exception release policy and processesConducts Performs critical review of manuals and disseminates information appropriately while driving change, continuous improvement, and cost savings initiatives

Quality Coordinates the Quality Improvement Process with an emphasis in Statistical Process Control techniquesProvides quality control training on an ongoing basisAssists in developing improved inspections to reduce off-quality productManages Process Control Quality Assurance activities during product start-ups, experimental orders, test run and validationsPrepares for all Quality Audits and provides documents/data as requestedResponsible for documentation of testing, holding product, internal investigations and root cause analysis.

Listed below are the requirements for this position and what we are looking for in a candidate:Minimum 4-year degree in engineering or chemisty is desired but not required Manufacturing Industry experience Proven success in Health and Safety Program Development and manufacturing plant Quality Management, Strong analytical, technical and practical background with specialized skills in OSHA Proficient in the use of lab equipment including: refractometer, visometer, pH meter, digital titrator and an analytical balance Mechanical aptitude
