Regional Public Relations Manager

Develops and implements Public Relations strategies targeting external and internal stakeholders in manufacturing communities to build mutually-beneficial relationships.  Supports the achievement of Company goals by executing Corporate Communications strategies at manufacturing locations to create a climate for continued business operations. Uses innovation and creativity to direct or implement site-specific Public Relations programs at multiple plants in a region.  Anticipates issues, counsels plant management on public concerns and guides the successful achievement of appropriate community relations strategies to establish and maintain favorable relationships with key community constituents. Utilizes communications skills to influence, guide and motivate stakeholders internally and externally.  Manages local media relations activities and crisis communications at the local level.  Serves as media spokesperson for the company. Facilitates local government relations. Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written.  Ability to speak to individuals and groups with confidence.  Ability to translate technical and/or complex information into messages that can be easily understood by non-Company audiences.  Ability to link programs/projects to Company goals and strategies.  Excellent diplomatic skills with the ability to read and adapt to group dynamics. Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and to interact professionally and appropriately with people at all levels inside and outside the Company. Ability to deal well with uncertainty and ambiguity.  Must be a self-starter, who uses initiative to identify and carry out appropriate projects with minimal supervision.  College degree, with 5 years of communications experience, preferably in communications or related field, or 10 years of communications experience.

Spanish language fluency a plus.
