Process Safety Engineer / PSMNeeded To Fill A Direct-Hire Full-Time Employment Position WithA Major Oil & Gas CompanyIn Their Downstream Refining & Petrochemical Major Capital Projects GroupLocations: Baytown, TX Salary: $ 90,000 - $145,000 Depending On Experience The Process Safety Engineer will Lead and Support Refinery Process Safety Management Initiatives and Operational Safety Initiatives. DUTIES: Advise and develop strategies to further improve process safety. Lead or participate in risk assessments, hazard identification/evaluation studies, hazard operability studies, consequence analysis, layers of protection analysis, and departmental reviews; Advise business teams on safety risks identified; Manage the EPA's Risk Management Program (RMP) Rule for the Refinery and Chemical Plant; Assist in the development of process safety and risk management decision-making tools; Assist in building siting analysis; Conduct incident and near-miss investigations; Review and endorsing Management of Change; Provide oversight and quality control of specialty consultants; Key contributor to the Safe Operations Committee.QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in the refining and/or petrochemical industry, five or more years preferred; Experience in process safety design within a petrochemical/refining manufacturing complex strongly desired; Ability to communicate well with different levels of the organization and with regulatory entities; Strong understanding of systems safety and hazard/risk analysis processes;Experience In Any of the Following is a Plus: Hazard identification/evaluation studies and risk assessments, including hazard operability studies, and quantitative risk assessments; OSHA Process Safety Management Standard and EPA RMP Rule; Evaluating and making risk-based decisions regarding risk mitigation options; Facility siting analysis; Management of Change (MOC).▼ Requirements ▼Minimum 5 Years Direct Work Experience In Our Clients' Industry Performing The Specified Roles / Functions10-15 Years left in CareerCollege Bachelors Degree In Chemical Engineering or Related 4-Year Degree Accredited College Or University / Masters and PhD's WelcomeUSA Citizenship Or USA Permanent Resident Card If You Meet or Exceed The Above Minimum QualificationsE-Mail Your Word-Version Resume To: Joan.Peterson.King@NJKsearch.com Send Your Most Current Detailed & Complete Chronological Resume Please List All: Months & Years Of Degrees & Employment Titles & GPA's Certifications & LicensesWe Welcome Cover Letters: List Your Geographical Preferences & Your Salary Requirements Thanks Company: Newman-Johnson-King, Inc.
