This position applies INVISTA's Operations Excellence principles and framework to Operations Energy Management. This position is responsible for multi-site support of energy and utilities management. This position will support/lead site energy conservation efforts and application of best practices and procedures. Position to be based in Houston, Orange or Victoria, TX preferably.Position Responsibilities:Provide technical and operations support on all matters of Energy and Utilities such as: Energy management principles – training and coaching (scorecards, energy balances, key measures) Assessment of current site energy and utilities practices – review and assess the current state, gap identification, and opportunities for improvement Scope development for energy and utilities capital projects – work with site and Engineering to define and develop capital project scopes in Energy/Utilities Write reports to summarize results and to recommend savings amounts Experience & Skills Required: Degreed Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineer 10 plus years in chemical or manufacturing facility operations 5 plus years in site or operations utilities systems: Steam boilers, Fired Heaters, Turbine Generators, Air Compressors, Refrigeration Equipment, etc. Effective analysis, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills Ability to build strong business relationships with all functional areas including, operations, Engineers, Plant Management, Sr. Management, EHS, legal groups, etc. Must be able to work independently and manage time effectively Strong verbal and written communication skills Education Required: Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering We are an equal opportunity employer.
