Operations Manager

Responsibilities and Description of Role:
The Position – This position requires a “hands-on” person who can manage all aspects of a chemical distribution operation including facility management, transportation, and daily operations. The successful candidate will possess the skills to manage increased responsibility will have the opportunity for future promotions within the Operations area.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Supervise daily activities relating to receiving, handling, and distributing chemicals.
· Responsible for the safety behaviors and safety performance of branch.
· Rail loading and transportation knowledge and DOT regulations.
· Responsible for driving process improvement through the use of Process Excellence tools and methodology.
· Responsible for the growth and development of the Operations Personnel at the branch.
· Ensure all company and regulatory policies are being administered in conformance with established guidelines.
· Responsible for tracking critical operating metrics to ensure cost-efficient safe delivery of products.
· Develop and monitor annual maintenance plans for company equipment to maximize operating efficiency.
· Develop and manage annual operating budget for facility.
· Manage key operational development aspects of expansion and growth of business.
Experience Required:
Minimum 5-years managing in an operating facility along with chemical handling experience.
Skills Required:
· Candidate must be proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook.
· Proven experience managing in an operating facilities (3 yrs min)
· Experience with Transportation & Regulatory issues.
· Experience with the management of hourly operations personnel.
Education:
BS in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
Additional Information:
May include 15% travel.
Citizenship Requirements:U.S. Citizenship is required.
