Maintenance Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide mechanical technical support to maintenance and operations in a production area.  Focus on maintenance projects including fixed and rotating equipment replacements, reliability upgrades, and other small projects.

 

Provide engineering solutions, based on root cause failure determination, to increase equipment availability and reduce costs.

 

Provide technical expertise and leadership in project scope development, equipment design and specification, and work execution, with emphasis on technical quality and complete documentation.

 

Participate in PHA’s, Management of Change and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews to provide input to mechanical feasibility and safety in all designs and installations. 

 

Support major capital expansion projects as a resource and unit contact for incorporation of reliability in design, procurement and construction. 

 

Manage CADD documentation and all engineering documents associated with the facility.

 

Assist production/maintenance personnel on project start-up.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Required:  BS ME or ChE degree or higher.

                 Minimum of 5 years experience in process industry.

              

Desirable:  Chemical plant or refinery experience.

                 Familiar with fixed and rotating equipment and basic project management.

                 Experience with Instrumentation and Process Controls.

                 Knowledge of CADD systems.

                 Familiar with SAP
