Internal Control Analyst Job Title:  Internal Control AnalystDepartment: Internal ControlLocation: Corporate BASIC FUNCTION:  Assist the SOX Coordinator and manage the SOX self-tests throughout the year.  Monitor major and significant outstanding internal and external audit issues to resolution. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:   Direct the training and oversee the ‘Sox Self Testers’ that conduct annual self-testing, schedule SOX tests, and update the test forms used in testing.  Review test result templates completed by testers for completeness and consistency, review the test results and assess the pass/fail results, and assist testers and the party being tested in resolving differences to achieve optimum results. Assist in maintaining/updating the Socrate database and any training documentation. Work with departmental management and the process and control owners to assist in the process of validation and correction of SOX control documents, as well as any action plans resulting from deficient testing. Maintain SOX and Internal Control documents for Supervisor review and keep NIC documents current. Track the documentation, request dates, and when the documents are turned into KPMG. Participate in all KPMG and DAG Audits each year. Monitor the status of business unit’s and administrative department’s progress in the completion of their commitments to resolve major and significant audit deficiencies identified in all internal and external audits, and report to management. Represent Internal Control as the DAG Steward, responsible for reviewing DAG update requests and communicating updates to customer support. Responsible for the maintenance and documentation of critical accesses as defined by process owners; translate critical accesses and DAG into SAP. Other projects and duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:   Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. At least 3-5 years of relevant accounting and auditing experience required; 1-2 years of SOX related experience preferred. Microsoft Office experience required; SAP a plus.
