The essential duties and responsibilities are:
Interface with local, State and Federal regulatory agencies on complicated permitting issuesAnticipate future air regulatory impacts and develop/implement strategies to sustain compliance.Lead site's Emissions Reduction Team to drive site strategy including Greenhouse Gas reduction opportunitiesManage and administer air consultants, stack testing companies, etc.Responsible for site air permit applications, notifications for projects or modifications; interactions with agencies for implementation plans for permit complianceResponsible for timely and accurate submittal of air reports required under multiple programs.Review and approve air components of site proposed changes (MOC) and Appropriations RequestsWith site DCS technical staff, responsible for maintenance of the automated Title V compliance assurance system for the Hopewell PlantManages DEQ air inspections including data submittal and proper management of confidential documentsCompletes all air regulatory reports for the DEQ and EPA: emissions statements, CEM reports, various NSPS and NESHAPs reports; ozone season emissions report, Title V reports and certification documentation, among othersManages air release issues and reporting including coordinating the preparation and presentation of the environmental monthly statisticsSupport environmental team strategic initiatives such as RC14001, outreach programs, Greenhouse Gas reduction, industrial group participation and issues advocacyUse HOS principles to effectively drive air compliance accountability into the everyday life of the operations staff.Utilize standardized work and leadership standardized work to ensure the appropriate discipline is understood.Ensures air compliance training is sustained and effective.
Education and Experience Required
Bachelors in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent required5 to 10 years HS&E experience or related Chemical Manufacturing experienceExperience with Environmental regulations, especially air programsDemonstrated leadership skillStrong communication skills (written/verbal).Strong auditing abilities.Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organizationDemonstrated ability to use influencing skills to accomplish goals and objectivesAble to manage multiple prioritiesStrong Computer Skills
Preferred Qualifications
Six Sigma certification preferredExperience with governmental regulatory agencies preferred
