A vibrant, diverse economy insures that Victoria will be well-positioned for dynamic growth.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES DCS and Control Systems Lead for the capital project activity at the Victoria site Member of Improve Equipment Reliability Organization at Victoria Provide expertise on Distributed Control Systems, Programmable Logic Controllers, vibration monitoring systems, compressor anti-surge controllers, and control systems in general for front end loading and production design associated with project activity at the Victoria Site Provide front end loading, including scopes of work and economics to complete Project Requests and DMF’s for new capital projects to install DCS, vibration monitoring and controls projects on the Victoria site Provide field follow-up for capital improvements supporting area reliability efforts that require upgrades or changes to existing DCS and controls systems Ensure project DCS and controls systems designs are consistent with established codes and standards Provide technical guidance to site electrical engineers on the use of DCS, Programmable Logic Controllers and vibration monitoring systems on new and existing equipment Remain current on corporate best practices relative to DCS, PLC, vibration monitoring, compressor anti-surge control, and control systems KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREDBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a University with an accredited Electrical Engineering Program 5+ years experience with design of distributed control systems, programmable controllers, vibration monitoring systems, compressor anti-surge controls, and control systems Proficient in MicroSoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc Must demonstrate the following: -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision -Strong analytical and interpersonal skillsPREFERRED EXPERIENCEExperience in the petroleum or chemical processing industry in a plant environment PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAccessing elevated platforms by ladder (includes egress Accessing multiple floors of open structures by stairway (includes egress) Accessing equipment by ladder or stairway Entering and movement within tank farm dikes Entering and movement upon unpaved areas Operating company vehicles Manipulating and donning respiratory protective equipment Donning flammable resistant clothing Periodic workdays in excess of 8 hours Periodic outside work in extreme temperatures at various times throughout the year To be considered for this position, you must be authorized to work in the United States.
