Director, Software Development
This position is a leadership position in the Advanced Process Control R&D group focused on active managment of 3rd level support, management of specific projects, and potentially management of development staff. A superior technical knowledge of DMCplus and, at least, one other Aspen APC product is a must. Responsibilities will include management of all APC third-level support with an emphasis on individual technical contribution for resolution of outstanding issues.
Management & Resolution of Third-level Support issues for Aspen Advanced Process Control.
Act as liason between APC R&D, Aspen Customer Support & Training, and Consulting Services.
Provide Project Management for selected development projects and other special projects.
Optionally, supervise a development team.
Must be an excellent communicator with excellect troubleshooting skills and exceptional patience.
Ten years minimum experience in software development and support and/or related services.
Significant experience with .NET development (Windows Forms, .NET Remoting, WCF).
Significant experience maintaining and enhancing existing software.
Must have or be able to quickly develop proficiency in C++, C#, and FORTRAN.
Knowledge and experience with on-line control systems and distributed control systems.
