Business Development Specialist -Combustion and Aluminum Processes-- ALI-9979

Duties and responsibilities:
Þ Lead sales efforts from prospecting to eventual signing an average of $600,000 of annualized new business each year.
Þ Drives program sales in regions using market and industry knowledge, contacts and technical competencies
Þ Presents technologies to customers or potential customers, when appropriate. Prepares value-based proposals detailing the costs and benefits of new product applications and services.
Þ Focused on growth through new business opportunities developed through new applications in existing or competitive customers and/or Greenfield projects
Þ Coordinates, conducts and supervises technology implementation activities, when appropriate. Performs statistical analysis of customer process data and application results.
Requirements:
Þ 5-7 years experience in the Aluminum, Steel or Foundry industries, and has a clear technology orientation and possesses the technical expertise required for process innovation
Þ Effective working knowledge of combustion applications and processes within the Aluminum, Foundries and Metals Processing industries
Þ Knowledge of aluminum the extrusion process desirable
Þ In depth understanding of the cost structures in the related manufacturing processes
Þ Able to work and be effective in a matrix organization using a team sales approach
Þ Minimum education degree required: BS in engineering
Þ Excellent in interfacing with various levels of management in customer operations such as, plant manager, superintendent, chief engineer, operator, etc.
Þ Some previous technical sales success desired but not necessary
Þ Competent in use of a personal computer for common business software applications.
Þ Self motivated and strong leadership skills
Þ Ability to travel up to 50%
