Location:US-WA-Seattle Job Number:SEA0001E Employee Status : Regular Job Type :Internship Schedule :Part-time Description The Intern must be available to work 20 hours a week between January - June 2009, however these dates may change based on business need. Events/Marketing Intern This position will provide tactical support to different groups within the Business Developments Operations team, including: Events: Responsible for supporting the coordination and execution of client events and all logistical matters associated with a successful program. Events may include business related sponsorships, large signature/corporate events, and roundtables. Focus is on performing various administrative and event-detailed activities. Provide administrative support of the Entrepreneur of the Year program, including database management, coordination of mailings, and project management of various follow-up activities. Supports all logistical matters related to a successful event. This may include on site assistance, rooming list management, banquets, speakers, gifts, giveaways, off-site coordination needs, mailing lists and communications, and tracking follow-up activities to measure results of the event. Tracks contracts and monitors the procurement process. Marketing: Provides logistical support, including various mailings and coordinating presentation materials for client events. Information Management: Assists the Information Management Coordinator with the daily maintenance of the STARS and EOY databases. Manages data on the Area contact management system. Maintains the electronic area event calendar and provides frequent updates. Schedules multiple interview appointments and coordinates attendance from various interest groups. Communicates all finalized schedules and related information and provides support and ongoing communication when appointments are rescheduled. The incumbent of this position MUST be pursuing a bachelor's degree in marketing or related discipline and have the following: - 1+ year marketing/administrative experience, preferably in a professional services environment - MS Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes or database experience - Professional demeanor, excellent communication and teamwork skills - Strong project coordination skills - The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Interns are expected to be in the process of obtaining a college degree and must demonstrate integrity, maturity, dependability, a positive attitude and enthusiasm in the performance of their responsibilities.
