Primary Responsibility:
This position is responsible for managing the network's consumer digital media presence including strategy, content, broadband, revenue generation, site development and day-to-day operations. The primary role of the network's digital media operation is to generate net profits after initial investment period while, extending and reinforcing network brand.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for network digital media strategy and operations to maximize potential of the digital platforms as it relates to monetization, branding, support of network programming, viewer loyalty and network sales and affiliate support.
Develop strategies for integrating Comcast SportsNet's existing network operations into network digital media operations.
Manage digital media operations including day-to-day edit and technical issues.
Marketing of digital media operations using network resources and other tactics to meet traffic growth targets.
Directly responsible for the preparation of and adhering to digital media budget.
Responsible for acquiring and publishing network online video for broadband channels.
Work with CSN Ad Sales in setting digital sales budgets, assisting in developing ad packages and managing all online advertising operations.
Monetize broadband assets online where rights allow.
Manage online relationships including overseeing legal agreements.
Liaison with Comcast.net and other Comcast online properties in support of major network initiatives including supplying video content.
Represent network's online initiatives with press and within industry.
Evaluate new business opportunities, such as acquisitions, content, etc.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.
Required Skills:
Bachelor degree in Communications or related field required (Masters preferred)
10-15 years experience covering professional sports teams
Proven experience in working productively with local and national broadcast media
Supervisory experience a strong plus
Strong work ethic, positive attitude and leadership qualities with the ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities a must.
Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven, 24/7 operation
Must be available to work nights, weekends, off-peak hours
Periodic travel required.
