CITY: New York STATE: New YorkCOUNTRY: USAEssential Functions (Responsibilities):Job Purpose:The VP of Business Development role is accountable for ensuring the provision of a full range of legal services to protect the regular and special interests of the business. Advise executive management on legal matters in business and product development activities. Plays a key role in the direction and outcomes of all, or several business development functions of the online organization.Job Responsibilities:Draft contracts for development, production and licensing, brand integration agreements, marketing/promotional agreements and the likeCreate new forms and update existing forms to reflect current practices and policiesNegotiate and close complex deals, often at top management levels, that affect major aspects of company business performanceWork closely with Marketing and Business Development and provide regular input to corporate strategies and operating plansQualifications/Requirements:Basic Qualifications:JD from an accredited law schoolMinimum 3 years successfully practicing law in an online environment or handling IP or litigationMinimum 3 years experience in some or all of the following areas: entertainment law, corporate law, intellectual property, or litigationEligibility Requirements:Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV online to be considered (note job#: 820311)Must be willing to work in NY,NYMust be willing to take drug test and submit to a background investigation Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in United StatesDesired:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
