Television Network Producer / Content Director

 

L.A.M. Executive Search, Inc.  Is a leading provider of Talent to a number of Industries including Media, Financial Services and Consulting.We are happy to offer the following (2) positions, one for a Producer / Content Director and another for a Digital Asset Manager / Librarian for a Spanish Language Network in New York City.

 

Position 1 - Producer - Content Director

This position is responsible for working on various aspects of production & programming.

 

The Content Director ensures the overall creative direction and continuity of the HITN media brand and content offerings.  The Content Director will work with Producers, Editors, Development and creative staff who will oversee, access and direct the programming output of HITN – Television, Online, VOD, Mobile, Print and alternative distribution.

 

The Content Director and creative staff will work with the best practices and standards of public broadcasting in addition to HITN’s own programming policies to advocate, educate, approve and monitor HITN’s programming goals with the various businesses and content departments of HITN.

 

Requirements:

 

5+ years of TV production experience at the level of producer.

Spanish/English fluency a must!

Strong Leadership and managerial skills

Strong Writing and hands-on production skills

Experience in programming, production and co-production a must

Strong understanding of the current TV and online content creation technology and distribution platforms.

BA/BS Journalism, Media or similar field.

 

Position 2:  Digital Asset Manager / Librarian

 

Digital Asset Manager

 

The Digital Asset Manager will assist in the design and implementation of a third party provided  Digital Asset Management system.  This individual will develop procedures, workflow, content cataloging schema including system ontology/taxonomy design and content rights management, implementing a company wide digital archiving services and digital content distribution platform.

 

The Digital Asset Manager must manage digital asset library projects and the communications with all stake holders both internal and external and is responsible reporting status of DAM team performance and productivity.

 

Requirements:

 

·  Degree in Library or Computer Science required

·  3-5 years experience in a Digital Asset Management.

·  1-2 years management and/or project management experience

·  Providers direction and guidance to employees and contractors.

·  Experience working with databases servers and SQL

·  Experience working with a portal or digital asset management system preferred

·  Knowledge of computer systems and networking  architecture

·  Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS Visio and MS Access

·  Knowledge of XML, HTML and other web-related languages a plus

·  Knowledge of multimedia file formats and products

·  Knowledge of digital rights and permissions administration

·  Knowledge of broadcast metadata and media format standards

·  Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and meeting strict deadlines

·  Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills with specific attention to detail and time management

·  Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills

·  Fluency in Spanish and English a must
