Key Responsibilities:
· Produces and directs cutting edge corporate audio-visual meetings in New York City. Very limited travel!
· Leads audio-visual “staging” crews to execute events and meetings
· Develops themes and creative concepts. Pitches ideas to clients.
· Exemplify and promote Extreme Customer Service to clients and co-workers
· Consistently maintains Magnet Sales System database entries. Company reports and customer information is accurate at all times
· Oversees daily activities of technical coordinators
· Grooms technical coordinators to assume greater responsibility and enables technical coordinators to manage more complex events
· Develops and manages the highest profile events in assigned area
· Assures AAVC show standards are met
· Works nights, weekends, holidays, split shifts, as well as very early mornings and late nights
· Assume duties of co-workers throughout company including supervisor when assigned
· Actively pursues high scores in customer surveys
· Provides leadership and accountability in assigned area
· Negotiates with vendors in AAVC’s best interest
· Supports Director in developing cost saving strategy and makes recommendations to senior management
· Promotes and creates safe work environment
· Continually maintains professional and polished image under all circumstances
· Prepares r2 documents for client quotations, tracking equipment usage, management reports, and other purposes
· Supports Director in loss, damage, or theft prevention strategy
· Develops rapport with cross functional leadership to ensure company is operating efficiently and as a team
· Promotes and is actively involved in company lead share program to benefit cross functional teams
· Promotes AAVC as a company by building personal rapport with hotel management, staff, and hotel chain whenever possible
· Produce quality and profitable shows and events
· Specify, coordinate, and manage labor for assign shows and events
· Specifies equipment needs for audio-visual programs of various size and scope
· Provide logistics for audio-visual programs of various size and scope
Summary of Experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred. AAVC may consider equivalent work experience in lieu of academic credentials
· Minimum of two years (2) years serving as a lead technician or project manager (preferably in a Five Star Five Diamond hotel)
· Has verifiable record of producing profitable audio-visual staging programs exceeding $100,000 in revenue (must provide examples including photographs)
· Background in music, recording, audio-visual, computers and/or proficient in related technology highly preferredsaHas

· Fluency in a second language is helpful
· Has advanced knowledge of Vivien, Room Viewer or similar CAD program and is capable of creating the following (or similar) document. NOTE: proficiency will be tested.
Physical Demands:
· Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed.
· Must be able to drive a vehicle for up to 6 hours a day or more. Walking and standing are required the rest of the working day.
· Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, 10-key adding machines, multi-line telephones, filing cabinets, fax machines, copiers and other office equipment as well as audio visual equipment such as computers, projectors, audio mixers, lighting controllers, projection screens, scaffolding and other audio visual equipment as needed.
· Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
· Requires sitting, standing, walking, stooping, climbing, crawling, grasping, writing, repetitive motions, bending, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity. Length of time at these tasks varies from day to day and task to task.
· Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates.
· Vision occurs continuously with the visual functions being those of far vision and depth perception.
Work is performed indoors and outdoors. Temperature is controlled indoors by hotel environmental systems. Outdoor temperatures vary by season, can be colder than 30 degrees in winter, and can exceed 115 degrees in summer.
