The successful candidate is responsible for the budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of technical operating expenses. Additional responsibilities include financial controls to assure expenditures are within budget and researches ways to improve the bottom line. The job is for responsible for ensuring the quality customer care which may include: working with technical operations team to track, record and book contract labor and related technical expenditures to ensure management of expense within budgeted parameters. The successful candidate will work with customers, internal or external, to resolve escalated issues regarding purchase orders, accounts payable, and capital tracking. In addition the following tasks are inherent in this position

Develops and implements appropriate methods, practices, policies, procedures and change processes keeping employees informed of changes.

Prepare administrative and statistical reports.

Assesses, makes recommendations to, and manages within a budget. Makes informed decisions and choices based upon priority, business necessity and bottom line impact.

Participates (may be via recommendation) in the formulation of department policies.

Maintains and enforces all federal, state and/or city rules and regulations, such as non-discriminatory practices, payroll and overtime guidelines, FCC regulations

Assists department director by making recommendations for vendor products and services. Ensures training opportunities between vendors, technical managers, and supervisors are completed.

May be subject matter expert or department/functional lead on projects with cross functional/departmental impact. May represent the company in dealings with agencies, schools, organizations

Manages the reporting, budgeting and forecasting operating expenses. Produces reports on variances and trends.

Works closely with field operations and functional leads to identify, and report to upper management expense risk and opportunity and to provide recommendation on contingency plans.

Work closely with Accounting and the Information System department. to ensure operating expenses coding is accurate and in compliance with company policies.

Coordinates to produce operating expense budget and assist in overall budget development. Forecasts operating expenses on a monthly base, based on known risk and past trends.



Required Skills:
The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance, and three to five years of experience as a financial analyst. Prior experience in the cable industry is highly preferred.
