JOB TITLE:  SENIOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT

RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary responsibilities include financial analysis for each of Fox’s owned and operated television stations (35) and accounting/reporting for the Corporate office. 

Reporting responsibilitiesQuarterly financial analysis and reporting of station commitmentsAssisting Station VPs & Directors with quarterly financial submissions to our corporate parent (News Corporation)Assisting with Sarbanes Oxley reviewsMonthly analysis of unclaimed property reportsQuarterly review of auditors remuneration reports

Accounting responsibilitiesQuarterly reviews of station account reconciliationsOther monthly close functions (e.g. intercompany allocations, account analysis and preparing journal entries)Annual budget preparationSpecial projects including ad hoc requests for News Corporation

Other responsibilities: Managing relationships with the Directors & VPs of Finance for Fox television stations.

REQUIREMENTS:  A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.  The right candidate needs to be able to manage multiple projects, be well-organized and think proactively to meet strict reporting deadlines.  Must be able to work independently and be eager to learn about the television industry and the related accounting.  Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication  Must be proficient in Excel.  Knowledge of the JDE general ledger software or equivalent a plus.
