Education:

College degree with broadcast communication or journalism emphasis preferred.

 

Skills:

Candidate must have strong writing, news judgment and organizational skills; essential knowledge of broadcast newsroom operations essential; ability to work closely with others under deadline pressure; ability to coordinate all elements for newsroom production; excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary.

 

Experience:

Minimum of three to five years news producing experience preferred; must have proven track record producing television newscasts.

 

Duties:

Produce regularly-scheduled newscasts; work closely with members of news staff, production and creative services departments to create compelling editorial and visual content; oversee story development and placement within newscast; coordinate on-air execution of news product; write headlines, teases and other portions of newscast; produce, as needed, special broadcasts and projects; other duties as assigned by managers.
