Photography/Videography for the Music Industry

 

Numark Industries, the world’s leading manufacturer of DJ and Pro-Audio equipment, is looking for an inspired photographer/videographer to join our creative team. The Numark brand (numark.com) is one of five co-owned music related companies that our team supports. With the other four companies—Akai Professional (Hip Hop equipment: akaipro.com), Alesis (recording gear and musical instruments: alesis.com), Ion Audio (consumer audio: ion-audio.com), and MixMeister (DJ software: mixmeister.com)—Numark represents a complete cross-section of current music equipment and music production technology.

 

The ideal candidate for this opportunity will have a strong command of classic product photography, and an ability to conceive and create instructional/promotional videos for our product line. Interest in, or experience with music is a plus--but talent, intelligence and strong communication skills are just as critical to success here. We need someone who can roll up their sleeves, take a deep breath, and add their vision to our creative team.

 

Requirements:A degree in photography or video and/orMastery of Adobe Creative Suite 3, especially Photoshop Storyboarding skills and the ability to structure video shorts Excellent organizational and prioritization skills Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines Excellent communications skills; ability to work collaborativelyProduct photography understanding: technical skill, lighting, compositionA minimum of 3 years of film/video experience Mastery of Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Soundtrack and deep knowledge of PhotoshopPractical experience web compressing for video and audioAbility to work with and direct talent/subjects Experience w/recording live sound and with audio editing appsKnowledge of electronic musical instruments and DJ equipment desired

Other Considerations:This is an on-site position at our corporate headquarters in Cumberland RIWe currently have one videographer; both positions will report to the Creative Director
