Finance Director

CITY: Dallas STATE: TexasCOUNTRY: USAEssential Functions (Responsibilities):The Director of Finance for Dallas Local Media is a key leadership position that will help drive the financial and operating strategy for the duopoly. This position will provide financial leadership for the NBC & Telemundo owned and operated stations (KXAS/KXTX) as well as the Telemundo Production Center and NBC ArtHouse graphics hub. Work closely with GM and other key leadership to find financial solutions to meet strategic goals. Lead Controllership and financial reporting process for the business including primary liaison for annual audit with KPMG. Leading the strategic planning process and tactical implementation (i.e. Growth Playbook, Session II and Operating Plan).Provide analysis and recommendations to business team to drive stations' goals.Oversight of capital spending, accurate interpretation of and application of accounting policies, and preparation of financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statements and Cash Flow preparation).Create and review contracts including leases, trade deals, programming and local partnerships. Oversight of Fort Worth & Dallas facilities including tenant management, cost allocation, EHS Element #14 ownership, and management of mailroom services.Qualifications/Requirements:Basic Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required Minimum 5 years of prior finance leadership experience in accounting and/or financial management. This includes: Preparing financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts and variance analysis Strong computer skills including Excel: able to create forecast models, pivot tables, macros; and PowerPoint: able to create presentationsEligibility Requirements: Interested candiates must submit a resume/CV online to be considered Must be willing to work in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX Must be willing to work overtime as necessary Must be willing to take drug test and submit to a background investigation.
