Dynamic Staff Accounting Opportunity - Growth Oriented

Our client has an immediate need for a staff accountant for their corporate finance team. This position is open due to growth and our client is based near Rockefeller Center and is in the entertainment industry.

 

Some of the primary duties include: Analyze the annual budget and quarterly forecasts;  Prepare a consolidated budget/forecast package that will provide senior management with insight into variances vs. prior forecasts and periods, revenue growth and composition; Bank reconciliations, month end reconciliations and monthly audit reports. Candidates with general accounting operations (AP,AR, Payroll etc) expertise is preferred.

 

Prospective candidates must be very positive, enjoy working under pressure, must be a go getter, want growth and have excellent communication and inter-personal skills.

Salary is up to $60,000 plus bonus and benefits

Requirements:

 

·  Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required

·  Bachelors degree; in Accounting

·  Experience with financial reporting/GL systems

·  Strong understanding of accounting and finance concepts

·  2+ years of public experience preferred

·  Ability to identify and solve problems

·  1-3 years of accounting of finance experience
