Director, Strategic Marketing - SCIFI

CITY: New York STATE: New YorkCOUNTRY: USAEssential Functions (Responsibilities):This Director, Strategic Marketing is responsible for marketing and generating revenue for SCI FI and SCIFI.com. Individual will take an active role with Sr. Management, Sales, Programming and Digital to evaluate the viability of programming/sponsorship from a sales perspective and manage integrated and online offerings from development through execution. Individual will interface with external customers (agencies, clients) and translate the needs of the target brand into "sellable" programs.Interact with Sales senior management to formulate marketable sales strategies that are customized to client objectives and consistent with SCI FI goals Interface with senior management (including producers/executive producers, pricing/planning, etc.) and outside partners to proactively monetize existing and future opportunitiesLiaise with online partners to develop and analyze successful and profitable online relationships Execute large-scale sponsor programs including in-show integration, on-air, off channel and digital extensionsProvide overall direction in the use of ratings, demographic and volumetric research relevant to network, site and target-specific presentation materialsDevelop network positioning strategy and manage department budgetCreate target-specific client presentation and participate in senior-level client callsSupervise the activities of Marketing Manager/Marketing teamQualifications/Requirements:Minimum 7 years of experience at an agency, media company or sales organization where the individual was responsible for sponsorship development, presentation and execution Minimum 2 years experience working in this capacity in the online space Bachelor's degreeEligibility Requirements:Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV through nbcunicareers.com to be considered (note job#: 846950).
