OVERALL SUMMARY
Position reports to Manager, Distribution Operations and Reporting. Responsible for overseeing the billing and collection process of domestic and international content agreements and preparing the monthly cash receipts forecast. Supervise a staff of four Accounting Analysts.

Candidate should possess excellent analytical, communication, organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills as well as having the ability to work well in deadline pressure situations. Hands on experience in financial systems and strong EXCEL and WORD knowledge.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Supervise a staff of four Accounting Analysts to ensure departmental objectives are met including:
o Billing and collection of outstanding invoices,
o Preparation of foreign withholding tax forms,
o Collection of foreign tax certificates due HBO
* Prepare the monthly cash receipts and withholding tax forecast.
* Actively participate in monthly Business Affairs/Legal/ HBOe Operations/Finance meetings at which the status of contracts and payments are discussed.
* Interpret contractual provisions and ensure that billing terms are current and accurate in the Oracle billing system. Review invoices prior to sending to customers.
* Review monthly account receivable reconciliations to identify and resolve disputed issues with customers.
* Actively participate in process improvement (e.g. system processes, internal controls) as it relates to credit and collection policies.
* Prepare the monthly allowance for bad debt analysis. Assist in determining the adequacy of the reserve and make recommendations for adjustments based on current business conditions.
* Participate in the on-going evaluation of the creditworthiness of HBO content licensees
* Liaison with HBO and TW tax department on various tax matters including the completion of foreign tax withholding forms

REQUIREMENTS
* BS in Accounting or Finance; CPA / MBA a plus.
* A minimum of 3 years accounts receivable/collections experience
* Proven track record in supervisory experience (minimum 2 years).
* Position requires interaction with various levels of HBO Finance staff and management
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Solid experience with and use of general ledger (use of Oracle a plus), financial systems and financial reporting.
