Study Director
Cellular Dynamics International (CDI), a rapidly expanding biotechnology company in Madison, WI devoted to developing tools and in-vitro assays to aid in drug development and safety assessment seeks a motivated Study Director for leading hERG safety assays.
Description:
The Study Director will plan, direct and interpret results of pre-clinical cardiovascular electrophysiology studies taking overall responsibility for these studies in accordance with FDA GLP regulations. Additional responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, technical staff supervision, off-site customer interactions, developing new safety assays, and process improvement.
The successful applicant will perform as the Study Director in GLP hERG studies; managing technical staff , developing study protocols in conjunction with the client, scheduling and overseeing studies, managing analytical dose analysis subcontractors, as well as interpreting and reporting study results. This position will also be responsible for managing the hERG screening department, aid in the development of new cardiovascular cellular assays, and participate on an as needed basis in client recruitment and tradeshow presentations.
Qualifications:
PhD in cellular physiology or closely related field with a documented expertise in hERG channel biology and cellular electrophysiology. The preferred applicant will have at least two years of relevant experience in a contract research organization or other industry position and an in-depth knowledge of FDA GLPs as well as an understanding of global GLP guidelines
