Job Description

Responsible for administering medications based on physician orders.

Performing the day-to-day professional operations of the department which includes drug acquisition, distribution, and monitoring, identifying, resolving, and preventing drug related problems that may affect optimal patient care outcomes and to research and communicate to our medical and nursing staff, as well as to all ancillary services.

Primary Duties include IV admixture, and unit dose, therapeutic drug monitoring and quality improvement initiatives, Patient med monitoring, patient education, drug utilization, transitional ivy, drug review charts and some dispensing.

 

Position requirement: 

License: Registered Pharmacist in the State of Virginia or eligibility.

Acute care experience is preferred,but will consider new graduates and retail candidates
Must have a BS degree in Pharmacy or a Pharm D.

 

Shift : Night 7on 7off
