CLINICAL SCIENCE LIAISON

PREREQUISITES CLINICAL SCIENCE LIAISON:

 

BS degree in a scientific discipline, minimum of 5 years within the pharmaceutical industry. Institution/protocol experience required. Oncology experience required.

 

The CSL will be responsible for developing relationships with KOLs of strategic importance to the company and for initiating, implementing, and completing investigator initiated drug protocols within respective targeted disease states at key institutions.  This will include profiling potential investigators to conduct studies utilizing pipeline compounds and serving as the primary interface for Scientific activities. 

 

Responsibilities will also include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

1.  Develop relationships with key thought leaders in multiple disease states of strategic importance to the company and to create alignment across teams.

2.  Solid clinical research knowledge and experience.

3.  Initiate and implement investigator initiated protocols in target disease states at key institutions and complete research process.

4.  Identify and profile potential investigators to conduct clinical development studies utilizing the company’s pipeline compounds.

5.  Identify therapeutic trends and unmet needs within the appropriate disease states and marketplace.

6.  Work in conjunction with Medical Services to develop appropriate/pertinent resource material to be distributed upon request to physicians in targeted disease states.

 

Skills/Knowledge Required:

 

Ø  BS degree and experience in scientific discipline and/or advanced degree (MS, MBA, PhD) preferred.  Oncology experience required. 

Ø  Willing to travel 65% of the time; Position can be based in Seattle, San Francisco or in the Northwest.

Ø  Knowledge of the company’s compounds, components and processes associated with it.

Ø  Ability to develop protocols and complete the clinical research process.

Ø  Ability to establish relationships with top thought leaders across multiple specialties.

Ø  Must be able to demonstrate fiscal responsibility and time management skills; excellent attention to detail.
