Senior Vice President- Deposit Operations

Nature & Scope
The Senior Vice President of Deposit Operations is responsible for the management of NCB's deposit operations supporting a growing deposit base (currently $1.2 billion). While the position will be based at NCB's Arlington, VA Operations Center, the individual will be responsible for a team of 10 to 12 professionals at both its Virginia and Ohio locations with oversight of core functions including Deposit Account Management, Deposit Services, and Commercial & Cash Management Services. The position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

The selected candidate will be responsible for achieving broad operational goals with specific emphasis on the areas of risk management, operational efficiency and sales support. The individual will be self-directed, able to operate and influence across direct peer group with a demonstrated ability to lead and deliver complex strategic, transformational and growth projects.

Responsibilities Include

This leader will drive overall policy development, management and strategic planning for the Deposit Operations Team by defining and driving, in conjunction with senior management, the following initiatives:

Sales Support:
*Lead Deposit Operations Team to ensure assigned products meet customer demands, are positioned optimally to drive revenue, minimize operating expense, remain competitive, and are delivered within acceptable quality standards. Communicates, influences and negotiates both vertically and horizontally to obtain or leverage necessary resources.
*Leadership and strategic development of vendor operations (core processing, item processing, cash management services, etc.) with end-to-end product capability -- vision, strategy development and implementation. This includes clearing any obstacles involved in supporting the product delivery to the customer.
*Develop and implement new deposit products and services, specifically lockbox and wealth management products.

Operational Efficiency:
*Develop a high-performing team to support key operations and systems related decisions and activities.
*Leadership of the business unit's technology and operational business planning to ensure initiatives meet the needs of our customers and are properly conceived to maintain our competitive edge. Oversee the implementation of an operational infrastructure focused on quality execution.
*Develop departmental budgets in accordance with established guidelines; administers compliance to meet budgetary goals and negotiates changes as required

Risk Management:
*Implement specific risk management and compliance controls and reporting standards. Design, update and implement effective policies and procedures for the department; ensuring that they are current and position NCB to achieve our customer loyalty, risk, quality and growth aspirations. Ongoing collaboration with the Legal and Compliance areas to ensure adequate monitoring and procedures are in place and within applicable state and federal regulatory requirements.
*Stay abreast of economic, regulatory, and competitive developments as they impact product areas.



Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business or related field. Master's of Business Administration preferred but not required.
Ten or more years work experience in a bank, consulting firm or financial services company, working on teams with responsibility for strategic planning, and operations. Five to seven years of strong leadership and management skills.
