Senior Financial Officer - Third Party
SunTrust Bank has a current opportunity for a Senior Financial Officer (SFO) supporting the third party origination channels of SunTrust Mortgage. This position is located in the Corporate Office for SunTrust Mortgage (“STM”) in Richmond, Virginia. The Senior Financial Officer (SFO) serves as the chief financial consultant and performance advisor to the Executive Vice Presidents of the Wholesale (Broker) and Correspondent lending channels of the Mortgage Line-of-Business (SunTrust Mortgage). Provide financial oversight of two national origination channels with over $35 Billion in annual originations and 22 Wholesale locations (12/07). The SFO will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting financial results for division and LOB management. Drive optimal performance measurement. Processes/techniques/methodologies for division. Provide strong financial/analytical platform for decision making. Develop annual financial plan and monthly forecast of divisional performance. Present performance results, forecasts, and risks/opportunities with business partner to SFO/CEO in monthly Business Line Performance Review (BLPR). SunTrust is seeking candidates with a degree in Finance and 7+ years of proven financial management experience in the Financial Services industry. Mortgage Banking a plus. Capital Markets (Secondary Marketing) a plus. Prior experience in role as primary finance support and chief performance advisor to a senior business manager. Prior experience creating and managing financial forecasts and plans. Strong proficiency with MS Office, especially MS Excel. Database analysis (e.g., Access) and financial modeling experience. MBA or Masters of Finance a plus. Public accounting experience a plus. TM1 experience a plus.
