Uses instructional design/ADDIE approach and business and industry knowledge to partner with the client to analyze performance gaps and identify, design, develop, implement and evaluate learning and performance solutions. 1. Responsible for providing analysis and consultative services to department clients. Incumbent partners and contracts with managers and stakeholders to identify, document, and recommend solutions to close performance gaps for identified positions. 2. Provide continuous support by monitoring changes within the organization and the impact of those changes on the training portfolio. 3. Shepherd the design, development, and management of training curriculum and/or evaluation programs for Corporate Groups Learning. 4. Conduct needs analysis, analyze the results, identify performance gaps that can be closed through training interventions, and recommend solutions to gaps that can be closed more effectively through managerial intervention. 5. Use instructional design/evaluation expertise to design efficient and effective learning solutions for all delivery methods including performance aides. Design effective solutions based on the ISD model, following the ADDIE process, Kirkpatrick evaluation or Phillips ROI models. 6. Manage learning projects, including project schedules, deliverables, and client, vendor, end-user and subject matter expert relationships. 7. Maintain standards of instructional quality through periodic reviews of course materials, and analysis and application of evaluation data. 8. Oversee the review and evaluation of all materials including participant guides, leader’s guides, and job aids produced by all vendors. 9. Ensure effective design/evaluation process is followed and instructional integrity of materials is maintained. 10. Respond to escalated inquiries, research and problems related to training materials; serve as liaison with training development and delivery staff in the resolution of day-to-day issues. 11. Partnering. Works with partners in the enterprise and within the training organization to ensure effective and efficient communication, development and implementation of learning & development initiatives, programs & solutions. • Bachelor of Arts degree or five plus years work experience or any combination of work experience and education that would demonstrate preparedness to effectively perform the duties of the position. • 4-6 years experience in managing learning programs in a corporate setting (Experience in financial services preferred). • Technical knowledge of and practical experience with instructional design principles and/or training evaluation and ROI programs. • Well-versed in instructional design methodology, use and application of the ADDIE model. • Knowledge and understanding of adult learning principles and characteristics, and of a wide range of training methods, techniques, and formats (ie classroom, virtual classroom and online). • Lead and manage a team through effective organization coaching and mentoring employees, clearly communicating concepts, expectations, and fostering teamwork, retention, and development. • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information effectively to groups. • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project is required • Knowledge of and experience using Kirkpatrick and Phillips evaluation methodologiesWashington Mutual is an equal opportunity employer.
